The proposed Whitehills BESS would comprise up to fifty battery storage units housed within steel containers along with ancillary structures. It is envisaged that the battery units would be based on 40ft steel sea containers.

 The project is located immediately adjacent to the existing Lunanhead Substation on Old Brechin Road, Forfar. Access to the site will be taken directly from the B9134.
